Once you are done with your blog post, submit it to your Google search console property. What it does is index your article and make it public for general users of Google.
Meaning it can be found on Google search results when you search for it typing in Google search bar. Once your article gets on Google, you will see some traffic coming to your blog after sometime provided your article is Search Engine Optimized (SEO). If your content is great, people will love it.
They will consume your article, share it with their friends and community giving you incredible leverage of more readers. Therefore, more traffic to your blog.
2. Blog commenting
One of the best ways for new blogs to get traffic is just to comment on other blogs. Commenting with a thoughtful and provocative response will often send a few visitors to your site.
You may wonder how?
When you comment on other blogs, you will be asked to provide your website as well. Here you have to put your blog URL, and once the webmaster approves your comment, your name will be a clickable link, and that is your website.
The blogosphere community is very social, and those who are active regularly, often reap the rewards. Even more important than picking up a few visitors from it, the relationships you can develop with other bloggers will be tremendous. Bloggers love when they get a comment on their work, and they will appreciate you for commenting and starting a thought-provoking discussion.
3. Guest posting
This is one of the best ways to start getting some traffic, building an audience, and increasing your website authority in Google’s eyes. Guest posting provides a great opportunity for a newbie to writing an article that hundreds of readers can see.
Be it from the referral traffic or the boost in your rankings due to guest posting on high authority and relevant sites. I don’t know of any other method that could bring traffic that quickly. The key is to write a great article that readers can enjoy reading. Content that helps solves the burning pains. So don’t hold back on your best stuff.
I’ve seen people grew their blogs very quickly by just posting some of their best articles on other sites. But make sure to only submit unpublished content as a guest post. If it’s already published, then your content will not be treated as good in Google’s eyes.
4. Forum commenting
Getting involved in forums related to your topic and having a link to your blog in the signature line can send a few visitors to your blog. All you need to do is Google “your niche” and “forums,” and you’re sure to find a few.
Just don’t go to promote yourself. People can see that from a mile away that you’re spamming. You will only get traffic if you help them with their queries. When people get benefited from your answers, they will try to find you and want to connect with you. The blogosphere is very much of a “give, and you shall receive” environment. So try to be helpful and not a pain in the ass.
