Scott Barnes explains that eye shadow plays a big part in women not looking older than they are. The shadow needs to be smooth, the transition between the shades needs to be seamless. The second thing that Scott points out is picking the wrong color, especially when it comes to blusher. Choosing the wrong color is one of the easiest ways for you to add a couple more years to your look. When picking the color, you need to really do your homework and find out which is the best fit for your skin. Everyone is different so you just can’t copy what somebody else is doing.

Too much highlighter, or even putting the highlighter at the wrong spot is going to make you look older. Anywhere other than right above the cheekbone means that you haven’t done it correctly.

Finally, too much makeup is never something that you should be practicing. Scott himself says that he gets chills, and not in a good way when he sees a woman with too much makeup. That is a well known and quite a big “no-no”.
