Kim Kardashian Called “A Hypocrite” After Hiring a Photographer Accused Of Se*uall Harassment

by Tracy Finke

Kim Kardashian has been called a hypocrite for hiring a photographer, Mario Testino, who was accused of se*ually harassing male models, months after she condemned another photographer who se*ually assaulted and blackmailed female models.

Reality star Kim Kardashian and her daughter North West were photographed by Mario Testino last week. He has been a favored artist in the fashion industry and celebrities favorite for many years. Testino has made more than 60 covers of Vogue. And then, as he was accused of harassment by male models and assistants, his career was finished.

Diet Prada’s Instagram profile has 1.6 million followers and a new photo with two posts by Kim Kardashian. One was from July when she denounced a photographer she had worked with for years – Marcus Hyde, and another in which she tagged Testino last week.

Coining a new term… Kimpocrisy. @kimkardashian ‘s recent choice to employ @mariotestino is a hella odd flex considering she applauded survivors this past July for speaking out against sexual assault by Marcus Hyde, her personal photographer. Testino of course, was accused of sexual misconduct by 13 male models and assistants in an exposé by the @nytimes in January of 2018. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ There’s no doubt that the power wielded from fame can do great good. Kim’s level of celebrity has been enough to free people from jail, but adversely, her very public and premature endorsement of Testino is problematic in that it both discredits the experiences of survivors and worse, potentially enables further exploitative behavior. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This is all so perplexing because Kim could literally choose any photographer in the world, so why keep working with problematic men? There are female photographers too… • #kimkardashian #kardashian #kuwtk #kim #keepingupwiththekardashians #marcushyde #metoo #model #malemodel #predator #photographer #mariotestino #vogue #americanvogue #annawintour #voguemagazine #photography #hypocrisy #nytimes #bruceweber #condenast #celebrity #familyphotography #wtf #lame #influence #prisonreform #dietprada

In July, she wrote that she was “shocked, very sad, and disappointed” at the allegations that Hyde asked the models to send him their naked pictures in exchange for photoshoots.

In an Instagram story, she gave support to all the women who blamed Hyde and told them she was with them.

In the meantime, a total of eight models and assistants have shared their experiences with Testino, in an article published in the New York Times. After that, five more came forward. Testino’s attorneys then argued that none of them were reliable sources.

A few months after the scandal, Testino realized he had to get back into business, and who was better to launch his career like a rocket than – Kim Kardashian?

Last week, Mario Testino and his loyal friend Kate Moss opened their exhibition in a gallery in London. And just in the meantime, Kim posted a black-and-white photo of her laughing with her daughter North West as they lie on the sofa together. On the picture, which is captioned with: “Best friends,” Kim tagged Testino.

Last month, Mario Testino also shared an image from the same photoshoot and explained that Kim had asked him to do portraits of her family.

“When I arrived at their house, she was wearing a bathrobe and nothing else, but I thought it just looked so perfect. I had to capture it. I asked her if I could photograph only her first, wearing this robe. She has such amazing power in her body that people sometimes forget that she is also so kind and gentle,” Testino wrote about the picture.

TOWEL SERIES 153, KIM KARDASHIAN WEST. – I always wanted to do a Towel Series with Kim, but it wasn't until she asked me to do a portrait of her and her family that I had the chance. – #TowelSeries #KimKardashianWest #KKW #MarioTestino #2019
