Since Meghan Markle left the royal family with her husband Prince Harry, the news surrounding them have not stopped circling around and rumors and gossip is flying in all directions. Since the young couple moved to Canada and left their royal duties behind, it was Kate Middleton, the wife of Prince William, who took over their many duties.
Queen Elizabeth, 93, has turned down her public appearances to the absolute minimum, and everyone refers to Kate as “the future Queen”. The Duchess of Cambridge also benefited the most from Meghan leaving the family, also evident by her surprise appearance at the BAFTAs.
She shined in her royal white Alexander McQueen dress, while her proud husband and future King William walked and sat by her side. As the masses looked on, everyone forgot about Harry and Meghan, right up until actress Margot Robbie mentioned them.
Hollywood legend Brad Pitt could not make it to the ceremony and accept his reward, so his colleague and co-star Robbie took over. He won the award for best supporting actor for “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and in his speech that Robbie read on his behalf, he wrote:
“He is gonna name this [award] “Harry” cause, uh, he is very excited about bringing it back to the States with him. His words, not mine, thanks!”
Kate and William laughed at his funny joke.
