Famous wrestler Rocky Johnson, the father of actor Dwayne Johnson, passed away at the age of 75. The cause of death has not been revealed.
Rocky is credited with the looks and discipline of his famous son, The Rock. Johnson was Dwayne’s coach and someone who tried his best to help him achieve his goals and dreams. He dedicated his time to Rock’s career when he retired from professional wrestling in 1991. Rocky was a key figure in getting his son signed to a WWF developmental deal.

Johnson, named the “Soul Man,” began his wrestling career in the 1960s as part of the National Wrestling Alliance.
Rocky was born on August 24, 1944, in Nova Scotia, Canada. As a teenager, he moved to Toronto, where he began training. He coached boxing, sparred with Muhammad Ali and George Foreman, but then entered the WWE in 1983 and started professional wrestling.
Another wrestling legend, Ric Flair, paid tribute to Rocky on Twitter.
“I’m saddened to hear about the passing of the great Rocky Johnson! I wrestled him many times throughout his illustrious career. His physique and conditioning were unparalleled! He was so proud of his son Dwayne! He raised him to be The Rock!! Rip Rocky Johnson!”, a retired professional wrestler and manager Ric Flair wrote.

Johnson received the highest honor in 2008 when he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
