Selena Gomez made her first live television appearance after a difficult period of life accompanied by pain and struggle.

The 27-year-old singer opened the 2019 American Music Awards show last night, and she returned on stage two years after she underwent a kidney transplant and after battling anxiety and depression.

Gomez performed a ballad “Lose You to Love Me” and an upbeat song “Look At Her Now,” and the world media admired her appearance.

She also caused a discussion on the social networks about her performance on AMA 2019. While some criticized the performance, wondering why her voice was shaking and whether she was nervous, on the other hand, fans did not blame her for the mediocre performance, but they blamed the disease and swollen vocal cords.

At the performance, the audience could also see a new tattoo that Selena had praised the day before – her hands clasped in prayer on her left thigh.
