An unidentified person from Sarajevo has caused outrage and anger among citizens after a shocking video emerged on social media, showing him driving through the streets of Sarajevo with a dog tied to a car. Those who witnessed said the poor animal was struggling while running after the car.
As Mirza Hadziabdic, a spokesman for the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, confirmed to Radio Sarajevo, a quick response from the police officers of the Third Police Station in Novo Sarajevo has identified the person who is related to this event.

The driver, with initials E. A., tried to justify this act on social networks.
“I don’t need to justify myself to anyone. It probably looks scary to you, but the dog escaped, and I had to take the dog to the bakery some 500 meters because his house was closer from there. He didn’t want to get into the car. He left home from the bakery after I got him here,” said the dog’s owner.
The video has been removed from social media after the identity of the driver got known.
“The person will certainly be sanctioned in accordance with the legal regulations”, said Hadziabdic.
