These visas will allow you to permanently stay in the country. These visas are also known as immigrant visas and there are several types of them.

As mentioned before, the visa is a stamp in your passport that will have a distinct look. It does not include your picture, but it does include the following information:

2. The date of issuance and expiration

3. The numbers of entries allowed

4. The document number

5. The visa category and type

In order to travel to the United States from Canada, you might need to apply for a USA visa in Canada. But, if you are a citizen of a country that has a Visa Waiver Program, you might not need the USA visa, however, you will need to apply for ESTA instead.
