Bella Hadid, the 23-year old American model, is making a change. She decided to donate 600 trees to be planted so she could counterbalance the environmental impact she has. Bella is aware of how much the many flights she takes due to her international modeling career have an impact on our planet.
Hence, Hadid decided to 280 trees in California and another 320 trees in the Amazon. She became quite upset and sad at the negative impact her lifestyle has on the environment and decided to make a change.
“Donating 600 trees to be planted … 20 for each flight I took these past 3 months and probably will continue for the rest of the year,” Hadid said in an Instagram post. She recommended the nonprofit One Three Planted as “the easiest website [she’s] found to donate to multiple regions at the same time.”
“It makes me sad how much my job effects my carbon footprint and of how brutally climate change is obviously effecting the world (sic),” wrote the supermodel.
Bella, the younger sister of Gigi Hadid and the older sister of Anwar Hadid, shared her love for Mother Nature and that’s why she thought it would be best to focus her donations to areas ravaged by wildfire, such as California and the Amazon rainforest.
What’s more, the 2016 Model of the Year encouraged her followers to reach out to her and let her know of any places around the world where nature need some love. So, she shared her desire to help the environment to her 26.8 million-plus followers.

Many fellow celebrities and models supported her in her endeavor, including her fellow models Lais Ribeiro and Winnie Harlow, and actor Moises Arias.
“This is so exciting and interesting to me, that even though I’m not physically there, trees are being brought to life in the most incredible places that are in demand of them! It’s the air we breathe, the water we drink, the biodiversity and animal life we need,” she wrote.
Her parents, Yolanda Foster, former Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star, and Mohamed Hadid, a real estate developer, seem to support her in this decision.
