Mercedes-Benz just lets pictures if a reimagined GLE for 2024 get leaked. Prototypes of the standard version have been seen around Europe for a bit more than a year now but this is the first time we have seen the AMG version.

What makes us certain it is an AMG version of the vehicle is the lowered suspension and huge wheel and tire combination. It also has quad-exhaust tops with a square shape.

AMG engineers are also performing tests with the standard version, the GLE53 Coupe, which is going to replace the GLE43 which is active right now.

The GLE63 Coupe packs a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-8, with the engine mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission and rear-biased all-wheel-drive system. All that is supposed to give it around 603 horsepower. And just like before there is going to be a standard version and a more powerful S model.

As far as the GLE53 Coupe goes we are probably going to see some mild-hybrid system designed around the company’s new inline-6 engine that was first seen in the 2019 CLS53 and since then we also saw it in a 2024 GLE53. This system is designed to give you horsepower that a V8 engine can give you but with 20% more efficiency.

Mercedes is probably going to officially reveal the redesigned 2024 Mercedes-AMG GLE63 Coupe pretty soon. It will probably launch in fall which means the reveal should be in the second half of 2019 and it will probably be a 2024 model.
The vehicle will be made in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
