The stars and creators of the ‘Friends’ series are currently in negotiation with HBO to shoot a comeback special.
Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt Le Blanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer will reunite in front of the camera if the negotiations with the upcoming HBO Max streaming service go in the right direction, The Hollywood Reporter reveals.
A screenplay for the ‘Friends’ reunion special has not been written yet, and the talks are alleged to include the ‘Friends’ series creators David Crane and Marta Coffman.

The Hollywood Reporter sources stress that the deal is far from finished.
And that the contracts with the cast and creators of the series have yet to be concluded.
When and if an agreement is reached, the challenge remains to align the schedules of all the actors, Hollywood sources said.
Speculation about the ‘Friends’ gathering has been fueled by the recently shared photos of the series’ cast on social media, as well as a “transfer” of the series from Netflix to the new HBO Max streaming service, which is set to launch in May next year.
